Burlington Police & Burlington Fire Department Host Community Safety Night

BURLINGTON — Police Chief Michael Kent and Fire Chief Steven Yetman are pleased to announce that the Burlington Police and Fire Departments will be hosting Community Safety Night next week

“We invite residents of all ages to come out for a night of fun and good times,” Police Chief Kent said. “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Fire Department and Chief Yetman to put on this great community event.”

WHEN:  Wednesday, August 8th, from 5-7:30 pm

WHERE: Wegmans parking lot, 53 3rd Ave.

WHO: 

  • Burlington Police Department
  • Burlington Fire Department
  • 3rd Avenue Burlington
  • Wegmans

WHAT:  The free event is open to adults and children of all ages. Those who attend can get up close views of police cruisers, fire trucks, ambulances and equipment used by the town’s first responders.

There will be K9 demonstrations and attendees can meet and speak with the police officers and firefighters who serve the Burlington community

Free hot dogs will be served and live music will be played, featuring dueling pianos.

“We hope to see a large turnout and I look forward to speaking with many of the residents that I have not had the opportunity to meet before,” Fire Chief Yetman said. “We have been looking forward to this event for months and it’s going to be a great summer night out.”
